Life and Wellness Coach
Dale Cooper,
Certified Personal Trainer
NASM, NFPT
My name is Dale Cooper and I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the National Federation of Personal Trainers (NFPT). I am also a professional member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Over the past five years of my professional training career, I've had the pleasure to train some of the finest young ice skaters and hockey players in Northern Virginia. While I truly enjoy working with kids, I have decided to expand my business around what has become my second family: breast cancer survivors. Unfortunately, there are simply too many to count. But if I help just one, I've succeeded in this business.

People who know me can understand why I've decided to take this path. On February 9, 2001, my beautiful wife was diagnosed with stage II+ breast cancer. Today, her disease has progressed to stage IV with mestases to the liver and spinal column. This incredible woman has been through it all. In a very real and personal sense, I have become defacto "certified" in breast cancer by way of being her steel column of physical, emotional, and spousal support. Admittedly, it's been the worst possible way to learn, but she is the reason for who I am today. Not just in the scholastic sense but in the human sense. It is her dream to see me contribute in ways that she cannot.

Yes, my decision to train this special population evolved after witnessing first-hand the body-wrecking effects of her many surgeries, chemotherapies, bouts of radiation, bone fractures, foot and hand blisters, fatigue and multiple self-image issues. No book can teach me what I've witnessed with my wife. I am convinced that through this personal experience, I will be able to easily understand what you are going through as you work your way back to a fulfilling life.

It has become a burning passion to combine my fitness background with what I see is sorely missing from the survivor population. That is the availability of specialized personal training programs that are designed to get folks just like my wife back into society as fully-functional, confident people.

I am committed to helping any survivor that I meet to reach that goal.

The road back is often filled with setbacks and emotional struggle. Cancer is debilitating, humbling and frustrating. It is my goal to do what I can to get you, the survivor, the strength, the power and the confidence to continue to beat this disease long after your active treatment concludes.

That is my goal.

What is yours?
